NEW YORK – May 31, 2016 – The Conference Board Consumer Confidence Index declined in May after a decrease in April. The Index now stands at 92.6, down from 94.7 month-to-month.

The Present Situation Index decreased from 117.1 to 112.9, while the Expectations Index – which gauges attitudes about future conditions – declined from 79.7 to 79.0 in May. …continue
